About Us
Community of Believers
We are a community of believers, called by God, to live humbly in the spirit of Christ, and to act as His voice and hands in our world. We are focused especially on the issues of poverty in our community and the world around us through projects and programs aimed at addressing the needs of those who are hungry and without enough clothing or adequate shelter, as well as those suffering abuse. Small But Powerful
A home to a small but powerful congregation that is eager to share God’s love with the entire community. We currently have a talented adult choir; an energetic and faithful Presbyterian Women’s organization; a group of Men of the Church; special Bible studies centered around events in the church year; and open-minded and compassionate church leaders. Our Journey
The people at Franklin Presbyterian Church are just like you, from all walks of life—we are teachers, retirees, clerks, law enforcement, homemakers, and managers. Many of us have been here for several years; others are newer members and friends. We are all at different points in our spiritual and life journeys, but our common faith helps us to support and encourage each other, in life and in faith. We are not perfect and don’t expect perfection from each other; we like to say that our church is a “hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints,” and we do our best to live that out. We are always happy to practice our radical hospitality with visitors, so when you arrive, be prepared to be greeted! The congregation at Franklin Presbyterian Church is excited to participate in what God is doing not only within its walls but also outside in the Franklin community and its surroundings. There is room for your help with the work that God is always showing us needs to be done. |
